About Us

We are a dynamic duo (dog and handler) wholeheartedly dedicated to our work. Travel and adapting is as easy as breathing for us; problem solving and finding the unfindable is our second language. Being an active conservation detection dog handler since 2014, and working on several continents, in a number of countries, and studying countless species on land and sea, we have traveled from the high mountains of the Pyrenees to the populated beaches of France, and as far as the rainforests of Malaysia.
The passion for animals started at a very early age as volunteering at an animal shelter. I wanted to work with aggressive dogs unlikely to be adopted. As I trained them, I learned a lot about canine behavior and communication.
Always having a natural affinity with dogs, which led me to seek a career where my passions could flourish, I was bound to become a professional dog trainer/behaviorist where I sought to use these expertises to further protect and conserve endangered species across the globe.
We believe that through hard work, discipline and persistence we can achieve our goals and continuously grow as a team.
Non-invasive animal monitoring is vital to more effective conservation efforts for endangered species, and dogs have a real nose for science when it comes to detecting them.

In 2013, a team from Conservation Canines came to Portugal for an assignment and wanted to use a local dog. They chose one, named Zeus, that I’d been working with at a dog shelter. As he was so attached to me, they took me on too. Later I obtained handling instruction by volunteering with a conservation dog program at the Center for Conservation Biology. We continue to work closely with Rogue Detection Teams in the United States and are thankful for their guidance and 20+ years of experience in the detection dog community.
